Product Overview
Ultrabond ECO 995 is MAPEI’s premium, 100%-solids, one-component, moisture-curing urethane adhesive designed for all types of wood flooring and bamboo. It enables a single-coat application that provides superior bonding and moisture vapor emission control on concrete slabs. Additionally, it offers sound-reduction properties, making it ideal for multi-unit housing projects.

Applications:
- Approved for use with:
- Solid and engineered wood flooring, bamboo, finger block parquet, acrylic impregnated wood, and laminated plank.
- Plywood panels to concrete as required for nail-down or double-glue installations.
Limitations:
- Not suitable for:
- Substrates containing asbestos.
- Flooring designed exclusively for nail-down installations.
- Installations below grade or over existing loose-lay vinyl flooring.
- Must not exceed moisture vapor emission rates of 25 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. over 24 hours.
Suitable Substrates:
- Concrete (at least 14 days old), cement terrazzo, exterior-grade plywood, existing ceramic tile (with abraded surfaces), and properly installed radiant heating systems.
Surface Preparation:
- Substrates must be clean, dry, stable, and free of contaminants.
- Concrete surfaces should have a light broom finish; avoid extremely smooth or glass-like surfaces.
Product Application:
- Select the appropriate clip-on trowel based on flooring thickness.
- Key the adhesive into the subfloor and spread evenly.
- Install wood flooring immediately, ensuring complete coverage.
Cleanup:
- Clean any adhesive smudges with Ultrabond Urethane Cleaner while still wet.
