Product Overview
Ultrabond ECO 399 is a high-moisture-resistant, aggressive, pressure-sensitive adhesive designed for a wide variety of resilient flooring types. This adhesive offers excellent performance under heavy rolling loads and is suitable for traditional flash-coving installations.

- Dimensional Stability: Minimizes gaps in luxury vinyl tile and plank.
- Moisture Resistance: Suitable for installations in moist environments.
- Extended Working Time: Allows up to 6 hours of working time.
Applications:
- Approved for use with:
- Vinyl composition tile (VCT), luxury vinyl tile, luxury vinyl plank, vinyl enhanced tile, quartz tile, bio-based tile, fiberglass-reinforced vinyl sheet flooring, solid vinyl sheet flooring, reground rubber underlayment, rubber sheet and tile flooring, cork underlayment, and vinyl-backed and polyolefin-backed carpet tile.
Limitations:
- Not suitable for:
- Substrates containing asbestos.
- Installing over nonporous surfaces with wet adhesive.
- Areas with known moisture problems or high moisture vapor emission rates (MVER).
- Installation temperature must be between 50°F and 90°F (10°C and 32°C).
Suitable Substrates:
- Concrete (at least 28 days old), cement terrazzo, exterior-grade plywood, and other approved wood substrates.
Surface Preparation:
- Ensure substrates are clean, dry, and structurally sound. Surfaces must be flat to within 3/16" in a 10-ft. span (4.5 mm in a 3.05-m span).
Product Application:
- Select the appropriate notched trowel and spread adhesive evenly over the subfloor.
- For nonporous substrates, allow adhesive to become dry to the touch before placing flooring.
- On porous substrates, flooring can be installed into semi-wet adhesive or allowed to dry as needed.
- Protect the open adhesive from dust and debris.
Cleanup:
- Clean any adhesive smudges with water while the adhesive is still fresh.
Performance Properties:
- Solids Content: 50% to 55%
- VOCs: < 50 g per L
- Density: 8.3 lbs. per U.S. gal. (0.99 g per mL)
