PRODUCT PROPERTIES
MAMUT GLUE is a high-quality flexible instant mounting
adhesive with extremely high initial adhesion, extremely
high load-bearing capacity and very high final strength,
based on SMP Hybrid Technology, which hardens to a permanently elastic mass when exposed to moisture. Holds
even the heaviest materials immediately without mechanical fastening.
AREA OF APPLICATION
MAMUT GLUE is suitable as an instant assembly adhesive
for bonding almost all building materials such as stone,
concrete, glass, plasterboard, PU, PVC, hard plastics,
glazed surfaces, ceramics, copper, lead, zinc, tin, aluminium, metals, alloys, stainless steel, HPL and cement fibre
boards as well as natural stone that is resistant to discolouration. Perfectly suited for the installation of UW
metal frame profiles in drywall construction and for
bonding acoustic panels. MAMUT GLUE is also suitable
for bonding mirrors.
PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE
The bonding surfaces must be firm, stable, clean, dry and
free of grease and dust. Can also be used on damp substrates (limitation of final strength). All substrate materials must be compatible with MAMUT GLUE; they must
not contain bitumen or tar. Adhesion and compatibility
with plastics should be tested on an object-specific basis. When used on coated substrates, a preliminary compatibility test is necessary. For example, a loss of adhesion is possible with coating materials containing acrylic
due to plasticiser migration.

PROCESSING
Apply MAMUT GLUE with the supplied V-nozzle in vertical strips with a distance of 10 - 20 cm between the strips.
Apply the cartridge at a 90° angle. Position the materials
and press down firmly so that the adhesive is at least 2
- 3 mm thick between the material and the surface. Do
not apply the adhesive in dots! Due to the particularly high
initial adhesion, the bonded elements generally do not
need to be supported or fixed during the curing process.
Only use vertical adhesive strands for mirror bonding to
prevent condensation from building up.
APPLICATION RESTRICTIONS
– Due to the variety of materials, a test must be carried
out for plastics. Do not use for PE, PP, PC, rubber, marble and bitumen.
– Not suitable in combination with chlorides (pools).
– Not suitable in combination with sea or lake water.
CLEANING
Contamination can be removed when fresh with BOSTIK
NIBOCLEAN PRO cleaning cloths or BOSTIK SOLVENT 300.
BOSTIK SOLVENT 300 can also be used to degrease the
bonding surfaces. Once set, MAMUT GLUE can only be removed mechanically.
CLEANING
Can be stored for 24 months in unopened original containers in a cool, dry place between + 5 °C and + 25 °C.
